Sparkle pads are made without:
No conventional plastics
No polypropylene or polyethylene in the top sheet, core or back sheet that could pollute the planet for over 500 years after disposal
No synthetic superabsorbents
No sodium polyacrylates that are derived from crude oil
No artificial fragrances or dyes
that may cause rashes or irritations
Why We Removed Plastic
Conventional pads:
Conventional sanitary pads contain plastic and petrochemical byproducts throughout every layer - this makes the pad not a breathable product, and also one that can create a sweaty and humid environment near your intimate areas.
Sparkle pads:
Sparkle pads contain plant-based materials in every layer, so that your pads do not cause you discomfort down there. But more importantly, your skin can breathe!
Why We Removed SAP
Conventional pads:
Conventional pads (and many organic pads) contain hidden synthetic gels or hidden synthetic superabsorbents (SAPs), which are made from petrochemicals; they are non-biodegradable, may wick moisture away, and irritate your sensitive skin.
Sparkle pads:
Sparkle pads use sustainable plant cellulose in the absorbent core - our pads don’t contain any synthetic gels.
Why We Removed Fragrance and Dyes
Artificial fragrance and dyes are unnecessary in a product that touches intimate skin for hours.
